2005 WVU Men's Basketball Highlights
Character....heart...and class...all defined the 2005 West Virgina University men's basketball team. From coaching staff to players, this group of Mountaineers represented WVU with the fight fallfest wvu and pride of a true champion. By putting together a six-week run to cap off the season, the 2005 Mountaineers boldly went where no WVU men's basketball team has been in 46 years. Along the way, the world of college basketball found out what Mountaineer basketball was about. Crisp shooting, a hustling defense fallfest wvu and a never say die attitude gave this team fallfest wvu and its fans one wild ride to close out the season. It was a ride that put the 2005 Mountaineers in "Elite Company." Often known by students and the media simply as "Coach Rod," Rodriguez is the 31st head football coach of the WVU Mountaineers and is a 1986 alumnus from the school.
